Difference between ‘driving other cars’ and the addition of a ‘temporary driver’?
DOC is usually for emergencies e.g a friend or a family relative who has had an accident needs you to be driven to the hospital, which turns out to be the lowest level of cover.
If you're added as a named driver on their policy or even a temporary driver, you’d have access to ‘full cover’ of their policy.
On the contrary, the policy will only cover damage to the other car in case you have an accident, which sums it up to the conclusion that you would be accountable for the damage caused to the car you’re driving.
