He continued, "The launch of the new Tundra is a really exciting time for our entire organization, so to be able to reflect that new styling in our NASCAR Tundra with the TRD Pro design. It is a reflection of the importance of the series to all of us and allows us to continue ensuring our on-track production resembles its production counterparts that can be found in our Toyota showrooms."
The New Toyota Tundra
As Doleshal pointed out that the race car you can see in the photo above is actually a reflection of the new Tundra that was announced two weeks ago. Apart of a truck bed, and the square-shaped design that is the dominant feature of the Tundra iteration, the NASCAR version has nothing in similarity to the road-going version. It is significantly lower than the standard TRD Pro, this TRD Pro version has been completely redesigned to NASCAR specification, which includes a new body kit that improves aerodynamics, racing-specific slicks on the wheels and of course an engine that is race-spec.
There are a lot of similarities everywhere there are hints like the grille, headlights, and hood bearing a striking resemblance to the stock version. In regards to the car itself, Kyle Busch, the team's owner Kyle Busch Motorsports, said, "Toyota and TRD are always in touch with us to ensure that we're as competitive as we can on the track and also to ensure that the style of the body of our Tundras is in line with what people can find in their showrooms. The new Tundra looks really sharp and it's exciting to see it reflect on our Tundras for NASCAR that sport TRD Pro badges." TRD Pro badging for the 2022 season." The Toyota Tundra TRD Pro will be on display in the showrooms later this year prior to its NASCAR debut in February next year. Have a look at the truck below.
