Toyota officially launches the 2022 Corolla Cross. Toyota's new crossover SUV, the Corolla Cross, is a huge seller. The Corolla Cross, like other Corolla models, is value-priced with features that aren’t found in the crossover segment. The Corolla Cross, which is based on the Corolla sedan will be available at dealerships starting at $22,195 for the front-wheel-drive base model. All trim levels can be ordered with all-wheel drive for an additional $1300
The Corolla Cross will be very popular in cold-weather states due to its low entry price for an all-wheel-drive vehicle. Toyota manufactures the Cross in the USA at its Huntsville plant, Alabama. Toyota anticipates strong sales of its new crossover at this manufacturing plant, which can produce 150,000 Corolla Cross cars per year. No matter what grade you choose, the 2.0-liter Dynamic Force Engine is the same 169 horsepower. For a more enjoyable driving experience, the engine is paired up with a CVT transmission with the actual first gear. This allows for greater efficiency without sacrificing performance. The vehicle can also tow up to 1500 pounds. Dynamic Torque Control is used on all-wheel-drive models. It can send up to 50% of the vehicle's power to the rear wheels.
There are three types of Corolla Cross: L, LE, and XLE. The first two grades have a cloth interior, with L being limited to light gray. LE is available with a black interior. XLE purchasers get Soften trim seats in Macadamia/Mocha and black. Standard on all XLE grades is a 10-way power driver seat and heated front seats. The base grade features a 7-inch multimedia touchscreen and an 8-inch screen in the other trims. All models support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
