If we begin to talk about luxury, mid-sized cars, we are most definitely going to talk about the Jaguar XF. It definitely made a statement with some major changes in the design. More importantly, also the style of any Jaguars made before this. The first generation of the Jaguar XF was launched in 2016. Now it is ready to fly higher than ever with the new to look at Checked Flag limited edition.
Jaguar XF features:
It comes with excellent gas mileage. A decent cargo capacity and the signature evolutionary style that you would expect from a Jaguar.
While the XF lacks the bang that other luxury cars in the same price range can offer. It certainly is a choice worth making. It is available in the body styles sedan and wagon both of which offer plenty of seating room. Their infotainment system is very intuitive. The car also features a panoramic roof which elevates the standard interior of the car. There is also an option to get a Cold Climate pack which has a heated, ice-melting windscreen. You can also get a gesture control sunblind.
The XF cars range includes the XF Premium topped by the XF S and the Sportbrake wagon includes the Sportbrake Prestige and the Sportbrake S.
It is a very compact luxury car with plenty of cool tech features and a standard yet classy interior. The tech features of the XF include a 10-inch widescreen display, hotspot, pin-sharp rear-view camera, real-time congestion navigation map, pop-up air condition vents, a pop-up gear, touch-controlled lights, and much more.
The seats upfront are huge and there is plenty of room in the back to seat three passengers comfortably but foot space feels congested but the headroom is also very sufficient. The car also comes with two sets of latch connectors for child car seats.
Cargo capacity is the most invaluable feature of the Jaguar XF. The trunk offers so much room and an additional section in the trunk for a spare tire not only that but the trunk space behind the rear seats in the Sportbrake variants can easily match the space offered by SUVs. There are some complaints about the cheap plastic being used in some familiar places’ doors, dashboard, etc. but other than that the design is stunning by default.
Driving and Handling:
There is also a traffic sign recognition system that ensures that the drive should make a change in the speed limit and access the road conditions for a smoother driving experience. The car also comes packed with Air Bags in case of any critical accident situations. The rims are sleek in design and tyres are bigger with premium rubber quality but it caves when it comes to the performance of the rear tires and the insulation is not all that great which added up to the noise complaints by the customers. There is no electronic torque vectoring but the precision of the XF is similar to that of a much smaller sports car which makes it such a quality ride.
Ian Callum (Jaguar’s director of design) and his team has not compromised on XF’s modernity. According to him; the original Jaguar XF has already become one of the iconic Jaguars. This is why they have decided to evolve it. All these models have variant prices depending on their additional features starting from 39,655£ and going up to a whopping 55,983£.
Jaguar Safety features:
Assuring safety has always been a motto of Jaguar. Likewise, XF Jaguar gets a host of safety equipment as a standard. Emergency braking, airbags, and lane departure warning alarm, three are included. There is also an optional active safety pack that helps you to attentively monitor what’s happening around your car i.e. it warns you if another vehicle is crossing your path while reversing.
To detect the thieves, an alarm and engine immobilizer are also there. These all are the reasons why it has earned the trust of the people globally.
In the XF lineup, the lower-powered 2.0 diesel versions have the lowest CO2 emissions making it an obvious choice for the company car drivers. However, if we compare it with 5 series, E class and A6, we observe that the C02 emission of XF is a bit on the higher side. The XF’s petrol is cheaper, so they can be worth considering for lower-mileage private buyers.
Let’s have a look at its variants and review all of their features;

Thoughts of Good Auto Deals:
We can arguably say that the XF has by far the best car revealed by Jaguar in terms of the ride itself, the style, handling, ambiance, and ergonomics. But because the XF executive saloon arrived in 2015 which puts it far behind compared to rivals like Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, and even Maserati, all of which have newer models and more features to offer at a lesser price.
