Honda Accord is a beast of its time. The 8th and lower generations of this car are available in the UK for sale as a used car. This generation was manufactured and marketed by Honda from 2008 to 2012. This Honda Accord was one of the largest to ever be released and was considered to be a full-size sedan, with the coupe remaining a mid-size.
This car maintained the 2.0 and 2.4 i-VTEC gasoline (upped to 156 and 198 bhp respectively), whilst a new 2.2 i-DTEC diesel engine provided 147 bhp (110 kW) with 258 lb-ft (350 NM) in standard trim levels, and 177 bhp (132 kW) with 280 lb-ft (380 NM) in Type-S sports trim level. This allowed the Accord to go 0–100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 8.5 seconds, and still do 50 mpg on the EU Combined cycle. Sales in Europe were discontinued in 2015.
The 8TH generation of Accord comes in both sedan and wagon forms, offering a host of engine and transmission options. Available engines are the 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter i-VTEC petrol engines, as well as the 2.2-liter i-DTEC diesel engine. All engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission. While the diesel engines get in addition to that a 5-speed automatic transmission. Dimensionally, this Accord has longer, wider, and lower for a sleek, sporty look, along with sharper body lines and slightly redesigned headlights. Honda has built Accord on its new ACE body structure. This model is available with a lot of new safety features.
The Honda Accord has been axed in the UK because of reduced market demand for the Accord in this country. Honda states that it is "focusing on what the customer wants. Which is the C-segment, crossover, and the SUV market." The price range of this used car is £4000 to £12000. It depends on the model year range, variant, and condition of the car.
